Justin Jacobs farms with his family in North Western North Dakota. They started building their family farm in 2016 on 45 acres. They have since grown to farming 750 acres in 2025. Their farm practices are built on implementing and developing soil health practices, including intercropping and the use of cover crops.

Klaas is a third-generation farmer in New York. He operates Martens Farm and Lakeview Organic Grain Mill with his wife, Mary Howell Martens, and their son Peter. On 1,600 acres, he produces numerous crops, including corn, soybeans, spelt, wheat, einkorn, emmer, triticale, buckwheat, oats, barley, rye, cabbage, dry beans, and hay. He’s been farming since the 1970s and shifted to organic farming in the 90s. Klaas is a Farm Foundation Round Table Fellow (since 2015) and also serves on the Farm Foundation Board of Directors.
Jay Doan: A Legacy of Innovation, Stewardship, & Succession at Black Leg Ranch
Jay Doan, a fifth-generation rancher and agri-preneur, carries forward a rich legacy at the historic Black Leg Ranch in McKenzie, North Dakota. Established in 1882, the ranch has transcended traditional cattle ranching to become a dynamic, value-added agricultural enterprise. Today, it encompasses a hunting outfit, an international agri-tourism operation, a wedding and events venue, a craft brewery, and the latest venture in commercial meats and upcycled grains.
Jason Rowntree is a professor of Animal Science at Michigan State University where he holds the Charles Stewart Mott Distinguished Professorship for Sustainable Agriculture. Rowntree’s research focuses on identifying the metrics and management that reflect ecological improvement in grazingland and other agricultural systems. Rowntree has given presentations and conducted research throughout the United States, Australian, Canada, Europe, Saudi Arabia, Africa and New Zealand. Rowntree has led or been a co-investigator on $27.75 million in funding to conduct food system research.
Philip Mulvey has 45 years experience in restoring degraded land to productive use. He is the founder of several companies operating in the US and Australia including: an agriculture software company, a regenerative agriculture company, and environmental consulting and contracting companies. Phil has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Soil Science from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Hydrogeology from The University of New South Wales. With that background, Phil's skill is being able to assess landscape in terms of production, resilience and hydration.
Angela is the proud owner of HIdden Hill Farms in Auburn Kansas, an agritourism farm where she is dedicated to conservation, no till and regenerative practices in growing grass fed / finished beef, pastured poultry, produce and more.

wife, mother of three adult sons, and grandmother to three healthy, happy and adorable grandchildren is a commercial gourmet garlic and honey FarmHer of three years; a hospital Chaplain of 20 years; an Educator of 25 years; and Author of several booklets. She currently resides and grows in the beautiful city of Gary, Indiana.
Carmen is the manager and curator behind Oases Botanic Gardens, a themed agritourism healing space that features edible flowers, herbs, gourmet garlic, and agriculture related educational opportunities.
The Kansas Association of Conservation Districts (KACD) is a voluntary, nongovernmental, nonprofit, incorporated organization that was established in 1944, two years before the National Association of Conservation Districts was formed. Its members are the conservation districts located in the state’s 105 counties.
The KACD Board of Directors is composed of five elected members, each of whom represents one of five geographical areas of the state.
