Agronomic Services Manager, Trace Genomics, Story City, IA

Erik joined Trace in January, 2019 as the Agronomic Services Manager. He is responsible for helping customers interpret and understand Trace’s results and insights, so they can make impactful decisions.


Erik started his career as an Agronomist at Prairie Brand Seed. In 2012, Erik returned to Iowa State University as a Lecturer, where he taught classes in crop production and soil science for six years. Prior to joining Trace Genomics, Erik was a Senior Agronomist at Land O’Lakes. As the Senior Agronomist, he served as the lead agronomist for Solum Labs where he was in charge of sales and support. In this role, he was also involved in soil nutrient and molecular biology testing R&D. Erik earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Seed Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Crop  Production and Physiology from Iowa State University.


Erik and his family raise corn and soybeans near Story City, Iowa.
